Hi! If you're new here, I'm Alex.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in New York and Pennsylvania. I have worked in a variety of community social work settings, and have dealt with people of all ages, races, socioeconomic backgrounds, and mental health needs. I currently own and operate a private practice in Philadelphia, PA.
I designed this planner because, well, I needed a planner! I have spent hundreds of dollars, countless hours searching, and nothing I have found has met the mark. Any of my friends could tell you that I have been on the hunt for the perfect planner for a busy professional for YEARS.
I work A LOT and I could not find a planner that helped me organize my appointments as well as my life without providing me with a lot of unnecessary pages, directives, or upbeat, ultimately, impersonal terms and phrases.
I needed an ADHD friendly, non-patronizing, organized planner for a working professional, and I simply could not find it, so I created it -- a planner that has everything you need and nothing that you don't!
I hope it helps you! Wishing you good mental health!
Here is how I use it:
Year In Review
A must for any planner! An overview of 2024 by month and includes your color key. Should you like to color coordinate, you can plan your colors on that first page, and use those colors consistently throughout the year.
Month In Review
Add this page at the beginning of each month. This is the spot for birthdays, anniversaries, big due dates, etc. that you do not want to miss.
Week In Review
Following your "month in review" is week one of that month. I intend the "week in review" to be a place where you put those non-negotiable items; recitals, dates, appointments, deadlines, etc. There is also space for note taking/list making (I use this for everything from jotting down restaurant recommendations to grocery lists to reminders to buy presents for my nieces and nephew).
Day in Review
You also have a full page for each day complete with space for to-do, notes AND your full schedule- morning, noon and night. The intention is that you use your week in review to plug your non-negotiables into the corresponding days, and then you can plan your day around those non-negotiables. Because the day is broken up into 15 minute intervals, you can plan for travel time, unexpected changes and your "to-do" list with ease.
Habit & Mood Tracker
Start a new habit or two, and track them weekly. Track your habits, progress, and frequency of success. Get in touch with your feelings surrounding your new moves, too, and record how you felt while your habits were at play.
